Three of the Most Important
Design Principles
Visibility
• This is the basic principle that the more visually an element is, the more likely users will know about them and how to use them.
• Your users will not be able to predict what you will have on your site. They will see everything that you’ve made available to them.
• On first glance, and then decide on their user journey from their senior to make sure that you put clear instructions for your users so that they can navigate your site.
Feedback
• Feedback is making it clear to the user what actions have been taken and what has been accomplished.
• This can be with pop up messages saying that your email has been sent correctly or that you filled something in properly.
• Otherwise, there can even be used to show you when you’ve done things wrong or when something could be done better on the website.
• And this then falls into your interactions with a website. Just making sure that the user is doing the right thing and that the information is being entered correctly.
Constraints
• Concept of constraints and designed is limiting the user’s interaction.
• What you’re doing here is preventing the user from making mistakes or potentially corrupting their own data or accidentally deleting something.
• What you’re doing here is essentially guiding them down the right, use a journey and then it’s just going to reduce the likelihood of them making an error.
• This protects both yourself and the user by making sure they don’t do anything wrong.
What is The Data Visualization Purpose?
• Ensure contact information is easy to find.
1. Do this so that in the case your users prefer to speak to another human being or if they want to visit the premises.
2. Your customers want to be able to find directions or contact information so that they can get hold of you directly.
• Make sure that any links that your users have visited will change colour once they’ve seen them.
• Posting valuable content regularly.
1. Ensure that any content that you do post is actually of value to users and not just a random post for the sake of actually just putting something up.
2. Make sure that there’s always value in what you’ve put on your website because sometimes it’s going to be the first thing people see on your sites
